Kentucky Standard is a statewide digital news publication covering the people, places, and decisions shaping the Commonwealth, from the neighborhoods of Louisville and the horse farms outside Lexington to the coalfields of Appalachian Kentucky and the smallest rural county seat.

We built Kentucky Standard around a simple idea: Kentucky is bigger than any single region or industry. Our newsroom covers politics, business, technology, travel, food and culture, beauty and wellness, sports, and opinion with the same editorial standard, whether the story comes from Frankfort, Owensboro, or a town most of the state has never heard of.
